MAIN RESPONSIBILITY:
Lead sales initiative on behalf of ATEX in China, interfacing with potential customers and key accounts in the medical device sector, and preparing technical application materials and proposals related to all products for ATEX Technologies Inc. This includes face-to-face potential customer and customer visits, technical presentations and solutions. This position has a strong involvement in the overall sales process, pre-sales through post-sales and requires excellent communication skills to effectively interface with customers and ensure their technical needs are met.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS OF THE JOB:
1. Plan, schedule and execute BD & commercial activities as well as customer (re)search for ATEX in China, including identifying and meeting with potential customers and executing commercial relationships/sales.
2. Provide technical assistance to ATEX customers including review and negotiation of customer specifications pursuant to company requirements and translation of specification to production directives. Provide corrective action feedback to customers, as requested.
3. Liaison technical information between the corporation and the customer to identify and resolve operating/design issues.
4. Liaison forecasting, ordering, payment and shipment information between the corporation and the customer.
5. Facilitate and translate from Chinese to English and Chinese to English verbal communications between customer and company relative to forecasting, ordering, payment, shipment, development, technical, quality, regulatory and other matters.
6. Develop new applications for ATEX products in order to penetrate into new market segments.
7. Periodically conduct technology/product updates for the customer base.
8. Monitor customer development schedules, track milestones, and provide status reports.
9. Conduct and document customer meetings with appropriate cross functional teams, including completing meeting reports.
10. Weekly complete spreadsheet to include details of new customer leads/potential customers and communications with potential customers and customers.
11. Participate in bi-weekly calls with the company during EST to provide status on potential customers and customer communications, and address technical matters.
12. Identify trades shows and clinical meetings and set-up and attend as requested.
13. Perform other duties and projects as requested by management.
JOB REQUIREMENTS:
EDUCATION: Bachelor’s degree or above in Engineering, Medical or Biomedical studies
EXPERIENCE: 5-year working Experience with medical device sales process at least.
KNOWLEDGE: Technical understanding of the company's products and capabilities.
SKILLS: Strong marketing, sales and communication skills. Be able to work with minimal supervision, meet deadlines, and be capable of self-checking for completeness and accuracy of work produced. Must be proficient in the use of Microsoft Office software and have excellent written and verbal communication skills. Must be proficient in speaking and writing in Chinese and English.
WORKING CONDITIONS: Fast paced production environment. Work hours consist of at least 40 hours per week. Sometimes extended working time or work on weekend will be required due travel, conference calls during EST, customer visits or needs and BD actions. Travel is approximately 20% of the time, national (China wide territory) and internationally (Passport and eligibility to get visas will be required).
PHYSICAL DEMANDS: Must be able to access all areas of operation, including second floors. Occasional lifting and bending required.
